But what many people don't know is that Gerber^® also supplies a significant share of the world market for tropical fruit ingredients, following those same standards of quality as Gerber^® baby food would demand. As both a manufacturer and a user of these ingredients, we've learned just about all there is to know about growing, harvesting, ripening, processing, formulating, packaging and handling tropical fruit ingredients.

Naturally, Gerber Ingredients^® offers the industry standard, single strength aseptic banana puree. We also offer other banana products not available from other producers: aseptic concentrate, frozen puree, frozen puree concentrate, banana flakes and organic banana puree.

Though we offer a broad product line, we specialize and are the market leaders in concentrated and frozen products. Concentrated Banana Puree offers an economical alternative to single strength banana puree due to shipping, handling and storing smaller quantities. Frozen Banana Puree is our premium banana puree. It imparts a natural and fresh banana flavor, color, aroma, texture and consistency, and prolongs shelf life of the fruit. It is used in a wide variety of food formulations when a fresh banana flavor is desire. It is ideally suited for fruit juice blends, smoothies and other quality applications.

Our new, technologically advanced manufacturing facility in Costa Rica operates around the clock to provide a reliable supply of consistently high quality food ingredients to our customers worldwide. We also maintain production flexibility to expand or reconfigure our operations to keep pace with growing demand for bananas and other tropical food ingredients, including mango, papaya and pineapple.
